Anderson MBA Admission Requirements

MBA Application Please fill out all forms and send all materials (except GMAT and / or TOEFL score) to this office. Your application cannot be processed without transcripts or the GMAT score. Please do not send items separately. Your complete application package should include the following contents.

Application for Admission

Registration Information
The University of New Mexico requires residency information from all applicants. Please fill out this form and sign at the bottom.

Letters of Recommendation
Three letters of recommendation are required. The most meaningful evaluations come from people who been responsible for evaluation your academic or managerial performance. Recommendations should be returned to you in enclosed envelopes, sealed and signed across the back. They are used for admissions purposes only and will not become part of your permanent educational record. Therefore, recommendations are not subject to the provisions of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, and you will not have access to them.

Transcripts
Please send two (2) official transcripts from each college and graduate school you have attended as a registered student, including summer school, night school, courses abroad, etc. Request copies of each transcript from the Registrar's Office. Transcripts must be enclosed in the registrar's sealed envelope and returned to you to include in your package. If your last degree is from The University of New Mexico, please have two unofficial copies of your transcript forwarded to this office by the Records Office, Student Services Center. Your GPA will be calculated based on the last 60 hours of coursework. A GPA of 3.0 or better is required.

Statement of Purpose
This should be a concise essay (500 word minimum is recommended) explaining your reasons for seeking an advanced degree in business. Please include your name & social security number.

Application Fee
A non-refundable check or money order in the amount of $50.00, payable to the Anderson School of Management, must accompany your application. (Note: This is a one-time fee. Students previously admitted to any University of New Mexico graduate program need not pay another application fee.)

Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
GMAT results will be forwarded directly to this office by the Educational Testing Service. The GMAT school code for the University of New Mexico is 4845. The admissions committee looks for a score of 500 or above. The range is 200-800. Students may include the unofficial score provided by the testing center so we may proceed with your application.International students should check dates and locations of the GMAT in their country. Current Resume
A current resume detailing your work and educational experience will be required and will be on file in the Graduate Program Office. You may submit an updated resume at anytime.
