For Financial Need Based Scholarships/Fellowships only (see list of available scholarships), students must complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form to be considered for financial need based scholarships/fellowships. Students are eligible for scholarships of up to $2,500 for studying in Canada or Mexico during the academic year, which may be supplemented from other sources such as the UNM Regents scholarships for studying abroad. Students may also participate in internships during their studies.
The UNM Information Assurance Scholarship for Service program is funded through a National Science Foundation grant to provide scholarships to complete a Master's degree in information assurance (IA). Scholarship recipients should expect to begin their careers in Washington, D.C.
A total of 18 scholarships will be awarded to UNM students between 2014 and 2016. Scholarships cover three semesters of full-time study and include tuition and fees, a monthly stipend, a book and travel allowances, and graduate student health insurance. More information about the scholarship will be posted in the coming months.
