The certificate program in the Anderson Graduate School of Management provides holders of the MBA degree an opportunity to further their professional management education through the regular graduate seminar offerings of the School. Persons may use the program to:
The program consists of 5 courses (15 credit hours) to be selected by the student and approved at the time of admission (the exception is the Management Information Systems concentration which is six courses). The courses must be completed in post-graduate status and within 4 years, and a 3.0 (B) average is required for the certificate. Completion of the certificate will be noted and appear on your transcript (for example: Post-Masters Professional Management Certificate; Major: Finance Concentration).
It will be assumed that the applicant has the required prerequisite courses however some students may lack specific prerequisites, which must be completed prior to registering for specific concentration courses. Required prerequisite coursework may not be included in the 15 certificate hours.

Persons holding an MBA degree from the University of New Mexico or from an AACSB-accredited MBA program.
The Entrance and Credits Committee will review "Equivalent" master's degrees in other areas from non-AACSB accredited schools for an admission decision.
The applicant is required to fill out an Application for Admission and Registration Information form and file them with the Graduate Programs Office. The application must be accompanied by a (1) statement of objectives, (2) an up to date resume, (3) a non-refundable $50.00 application fee, (4) a copy of the applicant's GMAT/GRE score, (5) official transcripts (2 copies) showing Master's degree awarded, and (6) an outline of proposed coursework (15 hours in an academic area) signed by a faculty member in the area of concentration as the approved course of study (this can also be in e-mail format from the instructor to the student with a copy to the MBA Advisement Center). Students who have received their MBA from the University of New Mexico may submit unofficial copies of their transcripts.
Any changes in the proposed coursework to be completed, must be approved in advance by the appropriate faculty and filed with the MBA Program Office.

Only coursework, which would be approved for MBA students, will be considered as equivalent. The academic area in which your plans are filed must approve all coursework and any changes.
A maximum of three credit hours completed in nondegree status may be approved for transfer toward the fifteen-hour certificate requirement. Only grades of A or B are acceptable for this course to count toward the certificate requirement. The student must submit a petition requesting transfer and clarifying the circumstances under which he or she is submitting the request.
Students must maintain an overall grade-point average of 3.0 with only three hours of a grade of C allowed toward completing certificate requirements. Incomplete grades must be removed during the semester following the one in which they were received.
Normal University tuition fees apply to this program. A $50.00 application fee, payable to the Anderson School of Management must be submitted with the application.
All students enrolled in the Post-Masters Certificate Program are responsible for meeting all Anderson School and University academic policies.
